Operation Santa Ana cuts fire threat
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Santa Ana winds will soon be whistling through the Inland Empire. Efforts are underway to minimize their impact on the fire danger.

Calfire Captain Elizabeth Brown says Southern California Edison is required to clear dry grass and brush from around power poles in the event a power line falls.

“In the event one should fail, we don’t want it to start a fire.”

This is the 14th year SoCal Edison has been proactive in minimizing the wildfire danger stemming from fallen power lines.
