Evidence coincides with student's threats
YUCCA VALLEY – (INT) - A Twentynine Palms youth is under arrest after threatening the staff at Black Rock High School in Yucca Valley.

Sheriff’s investigators said Thursday that Matthew Ross, a student, had planned to target teachers and staff.

A search of Ross’ home turned up a loaded rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and several hunting knives and crossbows.

Information from the school’s staff alleged that the 18-year-old student had threatened to attack them. However, none of the threats were carried out.

Ross was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats. He was taken to the West Valley Detention Center and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
