First responders prepped for Ebola
LOS ANGELES – (INT) – There have been no confirmed or suspected cases of Ebola in California. But, hospitals and the medical community are gearing up just in case.

Dr. Robert Kim-Farley at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health says they’re working with emergency medical services on what precautions to take when encountering someone with the disease.

“First responders will be prepared for questions asked ahead of time to see if this person is suspect for Ebola.”

Los Angeles is one of 18 cities in the US with a lab than can test for Ebola within 24 hours.
