INDIO – (INT) – Two Indio police officers are on paid administrative leave after being caught on video using excessive force during an arrest.

Patrol officers Charles Holloway and Gerardo Martinez surrendered Monday at Indio Superior Court after prosecutors filed criminal cases against the pair.

Sheriff’s investigators are saying little about the alleged incident that was depicted in a video taken by a citizen that was turned over to Indio Police Chief Richard Twiss last month.

Holloway is accused of a felony and Martinez a misdemeanor.

Both men have posted bail pending their next court appearance November 21st.
