Indian Summer precedes weekend cool down
SOUTHLAND - (INT) – A couple of days of Indian Summer will give way to sharply cooler weather this weekend.

Forecaster Rob Krohn in Riverside expects afternoon temperatures about 10-degrees above normal.

“By Thursday, the inland valleys will see temperatures in the upper 80’s to near 90. The Santa Ana Wildfire Index suggests to off-shore winds are likely through Sunday.”

Those winds are a key player as the autumn wildfire season peaks.

Rainfall is likely to accompany the next Pacific weather system when it sweeps into Northern California this weekend. It’ll cool Southern California before some warming again next week.
