TEMECULA – (INT) – A Riverside County sheriff’s sergeant finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

Terry Jones, a 16-year veteran of the sheriff’s department working out of Temecula, is on paid administrative leave after his arrest.

Investigators say that Jones allegedly assaulted a woman at his residence. Earlier, he was involved in a physical altercation with his girlfriend after consuming alcohol in Old Town Temecula.

Sergeant Jones is accused of domestic battery, felony assault and kidnapping.
