Officials prep for managing disasters
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) – Local disaster preparedness officials believe they’re on-point in the event of wildfires, floods or earthquakes.

Representatives from FEMA have been hosting 4-days of training for management leaders.

It’s personal preparedness that concerns Michael Smith, Chief of the San Manuel Fire Department.

“Preparedness begins not with your fire department, not with your department of emergency management or government but with your house. Have a 3-day supply of necessities and an earthquake kit. Taking those responsibilities for personal preparedness is something that we’re trying to get across.”
