UPLAND – (INT) – A motorist in a white Jeep Cherokee is being sought for the hit-run death of an 11-year-old boy.

The boy was walking to school crossing Arrow Highway at Benson Avenue in a crosswalk when he was run down.

His distraught grandmother, Tamara Strong, pleaded for the motorist to surrender.

“How can you just drive off and leave a defenseless child there, and go about your day?”

The boy was taken to a local hospital where he died.
