Elvis home avoids auction block
PALM SPRINGS – (INT) – Elvis would be pleased to know that his one-time home in the Las Palmas district is in good hands.

It’s not going on the auction block, but will clear escrow in the next few weeks.

The old Elvis estate was supposed to go to auction a few days ago. But, the auction was cancelled because a private bid to purchase the home had been accepted.

The Elvis home, nicknamed ‘Graceland West’, was built in 1946. Elvis bought the pace for $100,000 in 1970. The sale price of the home now, more than $2.5 million.

The identity of the new owner hasn’t been revealed or what they paid. But, they’ll have the keys to the Elvis pad sometime in late November
