The Day of the Dead is gaining more attention at schools, art galleries and other public venues.

In Coachella, the downtown district will be transformed into a street festival Saturday evening.

In Moreno Valley, the Vanguard Art Gallery is displaying art pieces honoring celebrities who have passed on.
