DA loses case against former sheriff's employees
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A long-running criminal case against seven former San Bernardino County sheriff’s employees is over.

Prosecutors Friday dropped charges against former training specialist Sallyann Christian. Retired captain Hobart Gray pleaded no contest to aiding in a misdemeanor and was fined $225.

Charges against four others were earlier dismissed. A seventh defendant, former corporal David Pichotta, was fined $1980.

Grand Jury indictments were handed down in early 2011 accusing the seven of falsifying training records to gain pay raises that bilked taxpayers out of as much as $100,000.
