Inland water use among nation's greatest INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – It should come as no surprise that Riverside and San Bernardino are among the nation’s thirstiest counties.
Figures issued by the U.S. Geological Survey put the two counties among the top 10. But on a per capita basis, Inland Empire residents use less water per day than counties in the Central Valley and in parts of Nevada, Arizona and even in Hawaii. The Inland Empire average is 134 gallons/day based on the most recent household data from 2010. Story Date: November 29, 2014
