RIVERSIDE – (INT) – A Superior Court jury is recommending that Tyrone Harts be executed for shooting his former girlfriend and then setting her on fire.

The same jury convicted Harts in October of murder, child endangerment and being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Brandi Morales was at home in Moreno Valley when Harts entered through an unlocked door and carried out the slaying in front of her six children.

She had broken off her relationship with Harts several weeks earlier in 2011.

Harts will be sentenced January 30th.
