Pre-winter storm sets sights on California
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Weather watchers will be shifting their attention from Indian Summer to a pre-winter event.

Forecasters have moderate to high confidence for some significant precipitation early next week.

Steve Harrison at the National Weather Service and that could mean the biggest and most widespread rains this season.

“One inch-plus is possible from the valleys to the coast and 3-inchs or more in the mountains and less than an inch in the deserts”.

Harrison says heavy snowfall is possible above 6,000 feet.

The incoming storm could be the most potent in 8-months.
