Cities mark anniversaries INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Several local cities are celebrating birthdays.
The biggest celebrations will be in Temecula and Yucaipa. Both were incorporated in 1989. Temecula was previously known as Rancho California until 74 percent of the community favored cityhood on December 1st, 1989. In Yucaipa, a Silver Anniversary is planned Saturday at the Jubilee Tent. Yucaipa was incorporated in its second attempt in 1989. A cityhood celebration is planned in Highland and another in Moreno Valley on December 3rd when that city marks its 30th birthday.
