Storm drains trashed, but mudslides absent
GLENDORA – (INT) – Foothill citizens have bit the bullet in the latest round of rain. But, the City Manager isn’t happy.

There was no flash flooding or mudslides from the fire-scarred mountainsides. But, City Manager Chris Jeffers says some residents are becoming complacent over their trash.

“Once the storm drains get clogged, they’re not gonna work. It means that mud and water has got to go someplace. Usually, it’s going to a place that none of us want it to go to.”

That could be into yards and homes.

The foothill neighborhoods of concern lie below where the Colby Fire burned last January.
