Mother Nature primes Southland for winter
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) – Mother Nature has been giving Southern Californians a preview of winter although it doesn’t officially arrive until Sunday.

The winter solstice checks in at 3:03pm Sunday afternoon. It’s the shortest day of sunlight in the northern hemisphere.

Forecaster Matt Shameson in Riverside says the opening days of winter will bring back some warming sunshine.

“We’ll have a week of dry weather, but it could get wet again the weekend after Christmas.”

Temperatures could rebound into the 80’s by Tuesday. That’ll be welcomed by last-minute Christmas shoppers.

Snow lovers are romping in a mantle of white at the San Bernardino Mountain resorts.
