Murrieta bank robbers held after chase, shooting MURRIETA – (INT) – Two San Diego County men are behind bars suspected in a bank robbery, a chase and an officer-involved shooting that wounded one of them.
Murrieta police chased the pair’s get-away car into Temecula Friday. Bullets flew when the robbers deliberately crashed into a police vehicle injuring a detective. The driver, Duane Bowen, 51, was slightly wounded and is facing four felony charges. His accomplice, Thomas Ferguson, 30, is accused of joining Bowen in the robbery of the First Citizens Bank in Murrieta. Story Date: December 23, 2014
