Christmas week weather becomes mixed bag
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – The opening days of winter shouldn't pose any travel troubles for Southern Californians as they head for Christmas destinations.

Sunny weather high pressure is expanding. That should give us the warmest temperatures of the month. But, it will be on the windy side into Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says the highest winds have hit 70 miles an hour at Peasant's Peak in the Santa Ana Mountains.

Santa may encounter a few light showers while making his rounds Christmas Eve.

After Christmas weekend, Riverside weatherman Rob Krohn is forecasting what’s called an ‘inside slider’. And that could pose a slight chance of showers again Monday.
