Falling gas prices fuel holiday travels
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Gasoline prices are in free fall dropping to their lowest point in 6-years.

Odds are pretty good that prices will continue to go down barring any refinery or supply problems.

The Auto Club’s Jeff Spring says the refineries are maximizing production and crude oil is nearing $50 a barrel.

The result is that motorists are getting a Christmas gift of extra cash.

The Auto Club is projecting an all-time record number of travelers over the Christmas-New Year holiday.

Meantime, the California Highway Patrol’s maximum enforcement period begins Christmas Eve through next Sunday.
