Fire strikes Fontana trucking yard
FONTANA – (INT) – Investigators are seeking the cause of a spectacular Saturday night fire that demolished several vehicles in a Fontana trucking supply yard.

The wind-blown fire sent clouds of dense smoke across Interstate 10 disrupting traffic. Flames could be seen for several miles.

The fire appears to have started in or near a storage structure. Forty-mile-an-hour winds pushed the flames into several parked vehicles. But, a majority were unscathed. There were no injuries.

A water supply in the area (near Washington and Live Oak) was limited, but firefighters controlled the blaze in less than 30 minutes.
