More passengers take flight at Ontario
ONTARIO – (INT) – Passenger volume managed to eclipse 4 million last year as Ontario International Airport struggles to reverse years of decline.

It was the first year since 2007 that passenger volume increased.

Small month-to-month gains gave the airport a nearly 4 percent improvement over 2013. Passengers on international flights to and from Mexico increased the fastest.

Southwest Airlines continues to be the carrier of choice for 57 percent of Ontario’s passengers last year. It was followed by American, US Airways, Alaska, United and Delta.

Air freight handled at the local airport also increased.
