Active TB shows up at another hospital
WILDOMAR – (INT) – A third case of active tuberculosis has turned up in a hospital setting in Riverside County.

Patients and staff at Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta and Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar may have been potentially exposed and are being screened for TB.

The victim is an employee for Southwest Healthcare System which operates both medical facilities.

The individual is being treated and is expected to make a full recovery.

It’s the third such incident in Riverside County this month.

An active case of tuberculosis at the Loma Linda University Medical Center at Murrieta has been contained. The TB was confined to one patient. A similar incident was reported earlier this month at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Riverside.
