E-cigarettes losing favor, ban urged
SACRAMENTO - (INT) - E-Cigarettes could land on California's endangered species list.

The Department of Public Health issued a report Wednesday outlining their dangers.

Director Dr. Ron Chapman says the devices contain nicotene, and that's not all.

"There at least 10 chemicals that are on the Proposition 65 list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm."

Chapman urged Californians to avoid the use of E-cigarettes and keep them away from children.

The state legislature is considering a ban on the devices in public places, as well as new measures against selling them to minors.
