SOUTHLAND - (INT) - February’s debut will accompany a spell of sunny, warmer weather.

Off-shore breezes are chasing the remnants of Friday’s mini-storm from the Southland.

Super Bowl Sunday kicks off a slow warming trend that could boost inland temperatures 10 degrees above normal by the end of the work week.

Nights will eventually follow suit.

Friday’s storm spread mostly one-tenth to a quarter-of-an-inch of rain across the valley and Metro areas. But there were higher amounts in the mountains and some light snow higher up. It was not enough to spare January from the deficit column.
