Congressmen weigh in on Iran threat
WASHINGTON – (INT) – Members of the Inland Empire’s Congressional delegation are reacting to Tuesday’s controversial speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

San Bernardino County Republican Paul Cook agreed with Netanyahu that that a bad deal with Iran is worse than no deal. “Until the current regime in Iran renounces terrorism and ends its threats against its neighbors, it can never be allowed to develop the technology that could be used for nuclear weapons. The United States must continue to stand with Israel and do all we can to prevent the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran,” Cook said.

Democrat Mark Takano of Riverside said “It is in the best interest of Israel, and the Middle East as a whole, to continue our current diplomatic course with Iran. With Iran’s President Rouhani showing an interest in negotiating, and the continued economic sanctions, the international community is at a better position than ever to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon”, Takano said.
