Riverside County designated as the 10th largest county in the U.S.
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - The latest U.S. Census Bureau population estimates rank Riverside County as the tenth largest county in the nation.

The county added 32,315 residents between July 2013 and July 2014, bringing its total to 2,329,271 people. Census data indicates a leading cause of the county’s growth has been migration from coastal areas including Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.

The Inland Empire also added more than 50,000 jobs last year. Census figures show neighboring Los Angeles and San Diego counties also placed on the list of population growth.

Los Angeles, Calif., is still the nation's most populous county with a July 1, 2014, population surpassing 10.1 million.
