Audiences welcome 'Home' at box office
HOLLYWOOD - 'Home' is where the box office focused its attention this weekend.

The star-studded voice cast for the DreamWorks Animation film pulled off an impressive $54 million to win the weekend, according to studio estimates.

The higher-than-expected performance easily outmuscled Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell in the R-rated prison comedy 'Get Hard'.

Home features Jim Parsons (as a goofy-speaking alien), Rihanna, Steve Martin and Jennifer Lopez voicing an adventure story that beamed up the families in droves.
Hart and Ferrell did well with with 'Get Hard'. Phil Contrino, analyst for BoxOffice.com, says the pairing allowed both stars to pull in each of their respective, diverse audiences.

'The Divergent Series: Insurgent' fell to third place after winning the box office in its debut.

Kenneth Branagh's live-action 'Cinderella' sailed into fourth place. The film crossed the $300 million mark in worldwide box office.

The horror film 'It Follows' continued to spread its terror, expanding from a handful of theaters into 1,218 locations this week to take fifth place. (Source: USA Today)
