Identity theft investigation ends in arrest
JURUPA VALLEY - (INT) - Between January 2015 and April 2015, numerous residents in the city of Jurupa Valley were the victims of mail theft, ultimately resulting in the theft of their identity and a monetary loss.

During these ongoing investigations, investigators determined that several of these incidents were perpetrated by the same suspect, who was positively identified as Carlos Joaquin Sepulveda, 42, of Jurupa Valley.

On Tuesday, detectives located Sepulveda at a retail shopping center in Riverside Plaza Dr, Riverside. Sepulveda was arrested without incident and later booked into jail at the Robert Presley Detention Center.

Sepulveda was booked for numerous theft-related crimes including burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of fictitious checks, fraudulent use of credit cards, identity theft, forgery, theft of mail, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
