RIVERSIDE - (INT) - UC Riverside police are searching for a man who attempted to rob at the university campus, Monday night.

The suspect approached the victim at approximately 8:20 P.M., near the UCR Arts and INTS building.

The suspect brandished a black semi auto handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim refused and struggle ensued.

The battery/robbery was interrupted and nothing was taken. The suspect and vehicle left the area W/B on University Ave. towards the 215 Freeway.

The police described the suspect as a black male adult, 6-00, 170 lbs., 20’s, he was last seen wearing a white hoodie sweatshirt, red shoes, and had a black semi-auto handgun.

The vehicle is a 90’s model, silver 2D Honda Civic Hatchback, black rims, oxidized or discolored roof, and dark tinted windows.
