Burning permits suspended until Saturday
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) - The San Bernardino County Fire issued a proclamation to suspend burning permits and other uses of open fires effective through Saturday until 6:00 a.m.

Due to the anticipated increased temperatures, high winds and low humidity, all burn permit privileges and other open fires within the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District are suspended.

The areas affected by this proclamation include, all unincorporated areas in San Bernardino County (except Mountain Areas within the Running Springs Fire District and Big Bear Fire Authority boundaries), along with the cities of Fontana, Grand Terrace, Adelanto, Hesperia, Victorville, and Town of Yucca Valley.

Regardless of location or permit conditions, all open fires (except for fires fueled solely by natural gas or propane) must be extinguished during Red Flag or Fire Weather Watch Conditions, when local winds exceed 10 miles per hour or when directed by Fire Department personnel.
