INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) – Earth Day celebrations that began last weekend reach a peak Wednesday with an assortment of events.

The promotion of personal health will be the focus at Cal State San Bernardino. Tobacco-free campuses is the goal as advocates raise awareness about tobacco’s impact on the environment.

At UC Riverside, students, staff and the faculty are celebrating Earth Week through Saturday.

The Riverside Transit Agency is promoting the environmental benefits of riding the bus by giving away free, 7-day bus passes.

Schools across the Inland Empire are having special classroom events to celebrate Earth Day.
