Ski resort pumps adrenaline into summer
BIG BEAR LAKE – (INT) - Snow Summit Bike Park, Southern California’s only lift-served mountain bike park, is set to open Friday, May 8.

Snow Summit officials also announced trail expansion plans at Snow Summit Bike Park are well underway, with construction on the much anticipated Going Green trail (beginner mountain bike trail) likely to begin before Memorial Day.

Going Green trail, a key component in the long term vision for Snow Summit Bike Park that was laid out by the master trail builders at Gravity Logic, will run from the top of the all-mountain express lift to the base area.

Going Green trail provides riders of all abilities a gentle 1,200 vertical foot descent. This trail is especially ideal for beginner to low-intermediate riders.

Snow Summit also offers access to more than 60 miles of US Forest Service trails including the International Mountain Biking Association-built Skyline trail, which is considered by mountain biking industry standards as one of the best trails in the nation.
