INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Thousands attended Memorial Day ceremonies at the Riverside National Cemetery.

Organizers placed flags on each of the 180,000 gravesites.

Names of the more than 5,000 veterans interred the past year were read aloud.

Monday’s ‘Salute for Fallen Heroes’ featured the Riverside Concert Band, a special presentation and military honors.

In nearby Moreno Valley, the West Coast Thunder Motorcycle Parade attracted riders fron throughout Southern California, A community gathering followed at the Veterans Memorial.

In Beaumont, names of ten veterans will be inscribed on the Memorial Wall at the Civic Center.
