GRAND TERRACE – (INT) - Dignitaries marked completion of the Route 215 widening project between Riverside and San Bernardino Wednesday.

Work began more than two years ago to add an HOV lane in each direction between the Riverside interchange and Orange Show Road.

A milestone was reached last year when two railroad bridges were replaced and new ones built crossing the freeway in Grand Terrace.

The $170 million project included rebuilding the Newport Avenue overcrossing and adding retaining walls.
