Patton Hospital fraud figure sentenced
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) - The one-time payroll clerk at Patton State hospital was handed a 4-year prison term Wednesday for his role in an $800,000 fraud to steal public funds.

Jose Romero of Fontana pleaded guilty to embezzlement by a public officer in San Bernardino Superior Court. Romero was given credit for 465 days already served.

Three psychiatric technicians were also charged last year for being paid for hours they didn’t work. Prosecutors said it went on for 4-years. (INT)
