OAKLAND – (INT) – The Golden State Warriors open the NBA championship series against the Cleveland Cavaliers next Thursday.

Golden State cruised to the title round after disposing of the Houston Rockets Wednesday in Oakland 104-90. The Warriors took advantage of several Houston turnovers and James Hardin’s lack-luster shooting to claim the Western Conference title 4 games to 1.

The Warrior’s Stephen Curry was named the NBA’s MVP.

Game 1 of the Finals is next Thursday at Oracle Arena against the Cavaliers and LeBron James making his fifth straight Finals appearance.
