Woman and two men convicted in slaying of Fontana man
RANCHO CUCAMONGA - (INT) - An estranged wife and two men are awaiting sentencing for first degree murder in the slaying of a 39-year-old man who was gunned down outside his Ontario office.

A jury found David Olvera, 28, of Yucaipa and Emilio Saldana, 25, of Calimesa both guilty of first degree murder Friday. On May 14, after less than three hours of deliberation, a second jury found Amy Hillrich, 42, of Yucaipa, guilty of first degree murder.

All three defendants are scheduled to be sentenced July 16, in Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court.

Hillrich faces 26 years to life in state prison and Olvera and Saldana each face 51 years to life in state prison.

John and Amy "Nikki" Hillrich were married but had been separated for years. They shared custody of their two young children and maintained a family home in Yucaipa.

According to deputy district attorney who prosecuted the case, Amy asked her boyfriend, David Olvera, to kill her husband because she felt that he was making her life difficult over concerns he had about her relationship with Olvera.

Olvera was a parolee, who according to their children, had been spending time at the house.

John Hillrich, 39, was shot and killed Aug. 15, 2011, in the parking structure outside his Ontario office.
