LAKE PERRIS – (INT) – Fire crews are closing in on the last of a 150 acre wildfire.

It erupted Wednesday evening in Moreno Valley and spread toward the Lake Perris State Recreation Area. A group camp area was evacuated, but no buildings have been damaged.

Two firefighters have suffered minor injuries.

The fire broke out near Merwin Street and Campbell Avenue in Moreno Valley. Illegal fireworks have been heard in that area for the past several evenings, but the cause of the fire has not been determined, according to Calfire.
