Former police union manager admits theft
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – The former office manager for the Riverside Police Officers Association will get prison time for stealing $346,000 from the RPOA.

Alis Archibeque, 43, changed her plea to two counts of grand theft avoiding a forthcoming trial.

Archibeque was arrested in February after a 3-year investigation. She was accused of using RPOA credit cards to pay her personal bills, rent limousines, purchase jewelry and for $11,000 in child support. Some of the items she purchased were found in her Moreno Valley home.

Investigators said an audit turned up over 7,000 line items of theft and unauthorized purchases Archibeque made over a 5-year period.

Under the stipulated plea, she will get 3-years, 4 months in prison at her sentencing July 21st.
