Firefighters beat the odds, trapped woman rescued
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Firefighters faced several obstacles while rescuing a woman from her burning home Thursday.

Not only did they have to overcome ‘hoarding’ conditions, a small explosion and heat exhaustion, but the roof of the home partially collapsed.

Meantime, someone tossed a rock at a paramedic truck damaging it.

Adjoining homes on North Stoddard Avenue were successfully protected.

One firefighter was hurt and the rescued woman was checked out at a hospital.

Cause of the fire was traced to arcing in an electric panel.
