Mail theft call results in two arrests
MURRIETA – (INT) - On Wednesday, officers responded to the area of Stone Ridge Drive reference a suspicious male tampering with a cluster of community mailboxes.

Two callers reported the activity to Murrieta Police Dispatch and their descriptions of the vehicle and suspect were detailed.

Officers located a closely matched vehicle driving through the intersection of Nutmeg Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. The vehicle was stopped.

The driver, Todd Addison, 42, of San Jacinto, and passenger, Jesse McKinney, 27, of Lake Elsinore, were detained.

Officers noted several items consistent with burglary tools in plain view inside the vehicle.

After a thorough search of the vehicle, stolen mail and numerous burglary tools were located.

Both subjects were booked on multiple felonies at the Southwest Jail. Stolen mail was returned to the rightful owners on Stone Ridge Drive.
