Indian reservation marijuana growers uprooted HEMET – (INT) – Two search warrants served on the Cahuilla Indian Reservation have turned up the region’s biggest marijuana cultivation of the year.
The pot farm was discovered by air surveillance. Lawmen moved in and eradicated 11,048 marijuana plants that could have fetched hundreds of thousands of dollars in profits for the growers. Thirteen people including two women were arrested on suspicion of illegal commercial marijuana cultivating. Nine were Riverside County residents including three who lived on the reservation. Lawmen also recovered a stolen assault rifle, a 45-caliber handgun and Ecstasy pills for sale. Story Date: July 28, 2015
