Five lives lost in local traffic mishaps
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – At least five persons perished in weekend accidents on the streets and highways of the Inland Empire.

A crash on Highway 74 in Homeland Sunday killed one person and injured another. The Highway Patrol said initially that three vehicles were involved including a pickup truck that overturned. Killed was Casey Chambers, 21, of Homeland.

In Fontana, Denes Kantor, 20, of Rancho Cucamonga lost control of his small car causing it to crash into another on Foothill Boulevard.

Earlier, crashes in Bloomington, Perris and Perris claimed three more lives. One of the fatalities was identified as Javier Martinez, 23, of Perris.
