Vacations boost summer air travel
ONTARIO – (INT) – Summer vacation travel is boosting passenger volume at Ontario International Airport.

The number of people using the local terminal in June was up a marginal 1.5% over the same month last year. The increase reflected a rise that began early this year.

International traffic has led the way with the greatest increase of just over 73 percent. It reflects strong demand for Mexican markets. Scheduled service by AeroMexico and Volaris is expected to remain strong through the year, airport manager Jess Romo predicts.

Just over 367,000 passengers flew on the eight carriers that serve the local air terminal during June.
