NTSB issues preliminary report on fatal air crash RIVERSIDE – (INT) – A preliminary report indicates that a pilot had planned an instrument landing at the Chino airport, but diverted to Riverside because he’d ‘lost the engine’.
Keith Davis, 52, of Claremont perished when his small plane struck a power pole, crashed and burned a half-mile short of the Riverside runway in a residential neighborhood on July 26th. No one on the ground was hurt. Davis was on a ‘private’ flight that began at Brackett Field in La Verne 45 minutes earlier. The National Transportation Safety Board will issue its finding of probable cause of the crash in the coming months. Story Date: August 7, 2015
