Witnesses describe train vs. pedestrain incident RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Witnesses say a pedestrian may not have seen or heard an approaching train before he walked onto the Union Pacific tracks on Brockton Avenue Tuesday.
But, the same witnesses told police the crossing arms, warning lights and bells were operating. The elderly man had his head down when he stepped onto the tracks and was killed by the passing train. The coroner identified him Tuesday evening as Bobby Welch, 81, of Riverside. Story Date: August 6, 2015
