San Bernardino crime soars by 11 percent
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – For the first time in nearly 3-years, there’s been a double-digit increase in crime.

Statistics for the first 6-months of the year showed reported crime soared nearly 11 percent.

Although the number of homicides fell, violent crime which included rape, robbery and aggravated assault was up 12 percent.

A 38 percent increase in burglary lead all categories. There were nearly 1600 reported burglaries in the city between January and the end of June.

Overall property crimes eclipsed 5,000.
