Lunar 'tetrad' reaches climax RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Sky watchers got a special treat Sunday evening, a total eclipse of the full moon.
It was the fourth and final of a "tetrad" of total lunar eclipses over the last 18 months. The next total lunar eclipse won’t be visible in Southern California until early 2018. At UC Riverside Sunday evening: o Lunar eclipse viewing with telescopes o UC Riverside - Parking Lot 30 In Los Angeles, Griffith Observatory hosted a FREE public event to view the eclipse. Telescope and binocular viewing of the Moon was available for FREE to the public with commentary by Griffith Observatory staff members. Story Date: September 29, 2015
