El Nino on track December - February
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – A new winter weather outlook maintains a 95 percent chance of strong El Nino conditions from December through February.

The Climate Prediction Center said Thursday there are enhanced odds for above-normal precipitation across California, the desert Southwest, the central and southern Great Plains, the Gulf Coast states and parts of the East Coast.

Sea surface temperatures in the equatorial East Pacific are still running 3-degrees above normal.

November has not produced any significant rain across Southern California.

This El Nino could be among the three strongest dating back to 1950.
